These terms are the rules for using HappyTeeth.Care (happyteeth.care), including its articles, videos, monthly email, comments and the Ask a Dental Student forum. By using the site, you agree to them; if you don’t, please don’t use it. The short version: the site is general education, not dental or medical advice; you’re welcome to read it and share links, but please don’t copy whole articles; and please be kind and honest when you post.
Who runs this site
HappyTeeth.Care is run by Redi Shuli, a dental student based in New York. For any question about these terms, email hello@happyteeth.care or use the contact page.
Education, not dental or medical advice
Everything on HappyTeeth.Care, including articles, videos, emails, comments and forum answers, is general education. It isn’t dental or medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment plan, and it can’t replace an exam by a dentist or doctor.
- Redi Shuli is a dental student, not a licensed dentist. Reading the site, sending a message or posting a question doesn’t make anyone your dentist or create any professional relationship.
- Talk to a licensed dentist or doctor about your own situation before you start, stop or change any treatment, and don’t ignore or delay their advice because of something you read here.
- Answers in Ask a Dental Student come from a dental student and other readers. They’re general information, not a diagnosis.
Not for emergencies. For severe tooth pain, swelling, a knocked-out tooth or bleeding that won’t stop, contact a dentist right away, or emergency services if it’s severe. See what to do in a dental emergency.
Accuracy
Articles are based on published research and professional guidelines, and their references are checked before they’re published (see the Editorial Policy). Research and guidance change, though, and mistakes can happen, so HappyTeeth.Care can’t promise that every page is complete, correct or up to date. If you spot a mistake, please report it.
Using the content
- You’re welcome to read the site, share links to it, print an article for your own use, and quote a short passage with credit and a link to the page.
- The articles, videos, images, logo and design belong to HappyTeeth.Care or are used with permission. Please don’t copy or republish whole articles, images or videos, sell them, or present them as your own without written permission.
- Studies, guidelines, organizations, product names and trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their owners. A mention doesn’t mean they endorse HappyTeeth.Care, or that HappyTeeth.Care endorses them.
- If you believe something on the site uses your work without permission, email hello@happyteeth.care with the page address, the work you own and how to reach you, and it will be looked at promptly.
Comments, forum posts and messages
You can comment on articles, ask and answer questions in Ask a Dental Student, suggest a topic and send messages. When you do:
- Be respectful, and post only what you have the right to share. Comments and forum posts are public, so don’t include health or personal details you wouldn’t want others to see.
- Don’t post spam or advertising; anything illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening or sexually explicit; someone else’s private information; or claims meant to mislead people about their health. Don’t pretend to be someone else, including a dentist or doctor.
- Forum posts are checked before they appear, and comments may be too. HappyTeeth.Care may decide not to publish a post, edit it to remove personal details or links, or remove it later.
- You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you let HappyTeeth.Care show it on the site and quote it in its articles, videos and emails (never with your email address), free of charge, for as long as it stays published. You can ask for a post to be removed at any time.
- Answers from other readers are their own views, not HappyTeeth.Care’s.
You need to be at least 13 to post or to subscribe to the monthly email.
The monthly email
The monthly email is free. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. The Privacy Policy explains what’s collected when you sign up.
Ads, links and other services
Some pages show ads from Google AdSense. Google chooses the ads, so an ad isn’t a recommendation, and HappyTeeth.Care isn’t responsible for advertisers or their products, services or websites. Articles may also show prompts from Google: a short survey, a newsletter sign-up or a request for a voluntary contribution. Contributions are optional, don’t buy any extra content or service, and are processed by Google under its own terms. Articles also link to studies, guidelines and other websites, and some pages show YouTube videos. Those sites and services have their own terms and privacy policies, and HappyTeeth.Care doesn’t control them.
Using the site fairly
Don’t try to break or overload the site or get into parts of it you aren’t meant to reach, don’t use it to spread spam or harmful software, and don’t send fake or automated messages through its forms.
No guarantees
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, HappyTeeth.Care makes no promises of any kind about the site or its content, including that it is accurate, complete or suitable for your situation, or that the site will always be available and free of errors or viruses.
Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, HappyTeeth.Care and Redi Shuli aren’t responsible for any loss or harm that comes from using the site, from not being able to use it, or from relying on anything on it or on a site it links to, including indirect or consequential losses. If you break these terms, or something you post leads to a claim against HappyTeeth.Care, you’re responsible for the resulting costs. Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you, and nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Changes
HappyTeeth.Care may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time. These terms may change too: the current version is always on this page with its date, and if you keep using the site after a change, the new version applies.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. If there’s a problem, please email hello@happyteeth.care first so it can be sorted out informally; if it can’t, it will be decided by the state or federal courts in New York. If a court finds that part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
