Welcome to HappyTeeth.Care. I’m Redi Shuli, a dental student, and I started this site to explain dental health in plain English, based on what the research actually shows.

What you’ll find here

Practical guides to everyday care, like brushing, flossing and choosing a toothbrush, and clear explanations of common problems such as cavities, sensitive teeth, gum disease and bad breath. There are guides for parents too, and articles on new dental technology that are honest about what it can and can’t do yet.

How articles are checked

Every health article is a literature review: it brings together published research and guidance from organizations such as the American Dental Association, the CDC and the World Health Organization. The sources are listed at the end of each article, so you can check them yourself. When the evidence is weak or mixed, the article says so. Articles are updated when the evidence changes, and each one shows when it was last edited. The editorial policy explains how this works.

What this site doesn’t do

HappyTeeth.Care sells nothing and isn’t paid to recommend products. Some articles show ads from Google; Google chooses them, they aren’t recommendations, and they never change what an article says. It’s also not a substitute for a dentist: the articles explain what’s known, but they can’t diagnose or treat you. If you’re in pain or worried about your teeth, see a dentist. If something happens suddenly, the dental emergencies guide explains what to do first.
